MANILA, Philippines—The Seoul-based collective, Balming Tiger, has unleashed their latest single, “Kamehameha,” while also unveiling the upcoming release of their debut album, “January Never Dies,” set to drop on October 19th.
Inspired by the renowned Asian ointment ‘Tiger Balm,’ Balming Tiger is a diverse music collective that proudly identifies as a “multinational alternative K-pop band.” They aspire to leave an indelible mark on the global music scene and carve out a uniquely enthralling path within the realm of K-pop.
Balming Tiger’s core creative vision revolves around representing the aspirations and voices of today’s younger generation, with a mission to proliferate the expressive Asian youth culture worldwide, all while drawing inspiration from a rich tapestry of global influences.

Their latest single, “Kamehameha,” exudes a bouncy and playful vibe. This experimental track pays homage to the eponymous Korean drinking game, effectively simulating the sensation of being lightheaded and overconfident under the influence. Produced by bj wjwn and featuring the enchanting vocals and melodies of sogumm, this track differs from their previous releases, adding another stylishly diverse dimension to Balming Tiger’s expansive discography. The single’s AI-inspired artwork and the surreal, cinematic music video are the creative products of Balming Tiger’s visual artist, Chanhee Hong.

This follows their previous hits “SOS,” “Trust Yourself,” and “SEXY NUKIM” featuring RM of BTS, which topped Billboard’s ‘World Digital Song Sales’ chart with over 16 million views for its music video.
