GLOBAL RELEASE — Following a ten-year film hiatus Hollywood A-lister Cameron Diaz, best known for a slew of hit romantic comedies and full on comedies (My Best Friend’s Wedding, There’s Something About Mary, The Other Woman, Bad Teacher, Sex Tape), is returning to action, a genre close to home with her well-loved appearances in the Charlie’s Angels franchise and Knight & Day with Back in Action.
This time, Diaz, joins in on the fun with Any Given Sunday co-star Jamie Foxx in an action thriller trailing the lives of two former CIA spies Emily and Matt who went on to start a family in the suburbs. The two were then dragged back to the world they turned their backs on realizing that their covers have been blown.

Talking to Netflix about Back in Action, Diaz shares, “We’re on a mission, and we take this opportunity where people might think we’re dead, to disappear off the face of the planet and start a new life and raise our family.”
The film is directed by Seth Gordon (Horrible Bosses, Baywatch), developed from a material he co-wrote with screenwriter Brendan O’Brien. Joining Diaz and Foxx are other favorites from Glenn Close and Andrew Scott, along with Jamie Demetriou, Kyle Chandler, McKenna Roberts, Rylan Jackson, among others.
