SEOUL, South Korea — Following a successful, widely-talked about first season, dark South Korean coming-of-age drama, Weak Hero Class 2, finally gets release date this April 25 on the streaming powerhouse, Netflix. An intense, no-holds-barred onscreen adaptation of a popular webtoon, Weak Hero has seen support from a growing fanbase globally, no small thanks to its beautiful direction and acting from a cast of emerging young television superstars.
Trailing an uncertain closing to its first series, model student Yeon Si-eun, played by Park Ji-Hoon makes a screen return for the next chapter of the series in a far-off school, now with a vow not to repeat history. But as is expected, the fight for survival continues and nefarious actors in an alien territory is bound to not to go unchecked as the protagonist seeks to leave a “normal” life of peace and justice.

Weak Hero Class 2 sees Si-Eun navigate first steps into a newfound school life in an unfamiliar environment while attempting to shake the shadows of his dark past in Eunjang High School, where he meets new friends courtesy of reinforcements with a new cast of actors from Ryeo-un, Choi Min-yeong, Lee Jun-young, Yu Su-bin, Bae Na-ra, Lee Min-jae.
For the highly-anticipated return of the series, Weak Hero Class 1 director You Su-min and executive producer Han Jun-hee continues to be at the helm, in a deep dive into the perilous waters of school violence and bullying, while underscoring values of friendship, brotherhood, and sense of justice.
