Pam Risourié Released Their Ethereal Masterpiece Debut Album, ‘Days of Distortion’

GLOBAL NEWS—After 3 Ep’s defining the contours of their aesthetic at the crossroads of influences between dream pop, slow core and post-rock, Pam Risourié released their debut album, “Days of Distortion.”

This first LP was recorded in Normandy by the band You Said Strange, mixed and produced by Lucas Ramos at OneTwoPassIt Studio (Guts, Frustration) and mastered by Simon Scott, the drummer of the iconic shoegaze band Slowdive.

Taking the form of an underground dive, like a dream breaking apart and echoing along walls of guitars, days of distortion deepens the universe of Pam Risourié ; it invites us to explore a mental landscape, through the prism of an introspective trip where feelings of absence, derealization and impersonality are put into perspective, in a sensitive and clair-obscur night.

Following the single So Be It, Eternity, released exclusively in Les Inrocks, the Parisian band, created in 2019, unveiled last December the opening title of the album, You Are the Sound, premiered by Mowno in Europe and the Big Takeover magazine in New-York. A second single, High on a Wire is expected on March 3rd.

To accompany this release, a new live session, shot with their record label Stellar Frequencies will be released on February 16, 2023.

The band has opened last summer for Galaxie 500 in Paris, and played in venues such as Trabendo, La Boule Noire, Petit Bain and Point Ephémère. Pam, the singer and main composer, has also played several acoustic shows in Berlin (Loophole, Madame Claude, Artliners…).

Supported by other labels in France and abroad, including Araki Records, Icy Cold Records, Shoredive Records (UK) Pyrrhic Victory Recordings (US), days of distortion will be released on vinyl, cassettes and Cds, and will be available online via the digital label Atypeek Music.
