MANILA, Philippines — Netflix teases movie and series lovers with the official “New on Netflix: June 2021” trailer which rounds up the titles to watch out for in the coming month. The list features some exciting premieres for both local and international content, including the highly-anticipated release of “Trese”, the first-ever Filipino anime series produced by the streaming giant.

Filipinos can celebrate Independence Day by watching the anime adaptation of Budjette Tan and Kajo Baldisimo’s crime-fighting and myth-busting Trese. The star-studded cast is led by Shay Mitchell and Liza Soberano, who voice titular heroine Alexandra Trese in the English and Filipino versions, respectively.

June is also Pride Month, and Netflix is hyping up the shows and movies in its lineup that celebrate the beauty of diversity. Fans can start off with new seasons of “Feel Good” and the popular Spanish series “Elite.” Add, too, the returning series Summertime” and Black Lightning”, and the movie version of another popular Spanish title, “House of Flowers.

New K-Dramas are also coming out this month! Aside from the exciting new installment to medical drama “Hospital Playlist”, Song Kang fans are also rejoicing as their favorite leading man heads another show. In Nevertheless”, Kang plays someone who thinks relationships are a bother but still enjoys the act of flirting. Opposite him is Han So-Hee, who plays a young woman who does not believe in love, but is still looking to be in a relationship.

There are loads more to look forward to on Netflix this month, from DC comic-adapted series “Sweet Tooth” to a whole new season of unique dating show, “Too Hot To Handle”.
