MANILA, Philippines—Director Ridley Scott’s blockbuster, “Napoleon,” has emerged as the unrivaled champion at the box office, surpassing all expectations with a triumphant $78.8 million gross during its global opening weekend. This stellar performance includes an impressive $46.3 million from international markets.
Featuring Joaquin Phoenix in the iconic role of the French emperor and Vanessa Kirby as his wife Josephine, the film not only secured the top spot in France, the United Kingdom, Germany, and Italy but also exceeded projections. As anticipation builds, “Napoleon” is yet to make its debut in numerous parts of Asia, with the eagerly awaited release in the Philippines scheduled for November 29.
