Billie Eilish drops two new tracks
Global Superstar Billie Eilish surprised fans as she recently added two new tracks, “TV” and “The 30th,” to her discography, now available across streaming platforms. Both singles are under the catalogue entitled “Guitar Songs” and were co-written and produced by his brother Finneas O’Connell.
The pop star is currently taking a break before continuing her “Happier Than Ever World Tour,” which will stop here in Manila on August 13.
Morissette Amon releases first English-Visayan track
Dubbed Asia’s Phoenix, Morissette Amon-Lamar shared her latest single, “Undangon Ta Ni”, which marks as her first English-Visayan track.
The title, which translates to “Let’s end this”, is a song to remind us that it’s okay to choose ourselves and to never settle for less. It was recently released on Spotify and other music platforms.
Girl’s Generation announces comeback album “Forever 1“
On their official Twitter account, Girl’s Generation announced the upcoming release of their 7th album “Forever 1”.
Ending their 5 years of hiatus since their last album release, the group will finally have their much-awaited comeback as a full group. The album is set to be released on August 8 to celebrate their 15th anniversary as a group.
PUBG released concept teaser for “Ready for Love“
Mobile game Playground Unknown’s Battlegrounds or PUBG Mobile recently released a concept teaser for “Ready for Love”, which serves as a special track in collaboration with KPop supergroup, Blackpink.
BLACKPINK recently took the stage for the opening weekend of PUBG Mobile’s in-game concert series called The Virtual, where players may listen to the girl group’s international hit singles. BLACKPINK is preparing for their August comeback, which will be their first as a group in nearly two years.
THE BOYZ teases “Wings Of Desire” comeback trailer
The new comeback teaser from K-pop duo THE BOYZ, titled “Wings of Love,” provided an intriguing first look at the theme of their imminent comeback. Along with their promotional efforts, the trio will return with their seventh mini album.
In the song’s title video, “Wings of Desire”, all the members are shown to be bound together by what appears to be a fateful thread. The background slow music enhances the scenario very effectively.

All the MCU revelations at the SDCC 2022
Fans at the SDCC2022 learned all about the outline of things to come from Marvel Studios. As is widely-reported, the phase 4 of the largest superhero franchise will come to an end, with She-Hulk and the Black Panther movie sequel left. She-Hulk the TV series will then air in August on Disney+ and Black Panther will be released in November in theaters. The much-anticipated Black Panther: Wakanda Forever movie stirred emotions from fans. With titular character actor Chadwick Boseman gone, the released trailer gave respect and tribute to the legendary superhero while also birthing a new storyline.
With Phase 4 ending, Marvel fans have no time to be sad as line-up for Phases 5 and 6 have also been announced. With the small superhero Ant-man, phase 5 will start in February 2023. Ant-man and the Wasp: Quantumania, starring Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly, will kickstart the exciting new phase, along with Secret Invasion, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, Echo, Loki Season 2, The Marvels, Blade, Ironheart, Agatha: Coven of Chaos, Daredevil: Born Again, Captain America: New World Order, and Thunderbolts.
Revelation for Phase 6 also excites fans, as two Avengers movies are included in the pipeline. Fantastic Four, with actor John Krasinki saying that he might reprise his Reed Richards character, will kickstart the sixth phase. This is followed by Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and Avengers: Secret War. These announcements leave Marvel eagerly waiting until 2025.
Nickelodeon announces Avatar: The Last Airbender’s first animated movie
During the San Diego Comic-Con 2022, Avatar: The Last Airbender panel played the video of the voice actress Janet Varney, announcing that the Avatar studios first ever animated movie will feature Aang and his friends Katara, Sokka, Toph and Zuko focusing on their adventure as young adults.
As is expected, to the delight of the fans, the film is set to release in 2024.
A24 reveals three upcoming films coming to the 79th Venice Film Festival
A24 recently unveiled three upcoming films that are set to premiere at the 79th Venice Film Festival. From Darren Aronofsky’s The Whale, starring Brendan Fraser and Sadie Sink, to Joanna Hogg’s The Eternal Daughter, starring Tilda Swinton, and lastly, Ti West’s Pearl, starring and co-written by Mia Goth.
Teasing the cinephiles and the fans of the said actors with stills from the three different films, the enthusiasm of the public roared up the internet, calling up anticipations for Oscar nominations for the leads, including what many has already dubbed as a “Brenaissance” for actor Brendan Fraser, who portrays a 600-pound man who’s trying to reconnect with his teenage daughter.
On the other hand, Joanna Hogg directs The Eternal Daughter, featuring the critically-acclaimed Tilda Swinton. While there’s not much information about the film, based on what the picture reflects and what we can expect of Swinton’s unconventional talent, it has ghostly or eerie elements that has long piqued interest of fans of Swinton and A24.
Reunited with Mia Goth and the “X” production is this prequel entitled “Pearl” that expands the horrors of the X universe. Along with David Corenswet, Tandi Wright, Matthew Sunderland, and Emma Jenkins-Purro, the film navigates the origin story of the “X” murderess. It will hit the theaters on September 16.
Netflix unveils new poster and official trailer for Blonde
Netflix just dropped another official trailer along with the unveiling of the first poster of Marilyn Monroe drama Blonde directed by Andrew Dominik. It is anticipated to be released globally on September 28, 2022.
Ana De Armas channeled her inner blonde bombshell in the two-minute trailer, and the public is blown away by the resemblance and transformation. From Diamonds Are a Girl’s Best Friend and Gentlemen Prefer Blondes to the flying-skirt scene from 1955’s The Seven Year Itch, De Armas showed her acting skills as well as her mastery of the character whom the world has fallen in love with in the heydays of the talkies.
The cast was completed with the likes of Adrien Brody, Sara Paxton, Bobby Cannavale, Julianne Nicholson, and a lot more. The film will also premiere at this year’s Venice Film Festival.
Marvel drops new official trailer for She-Hulk: Attorney at Law in time for upcoming August 17 premiere
Marvel Entertainment dropped another foretaste of Disney+’s upcoming series, She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, during the Marvel Studios’ forum at the San Diego Comic-con.
In the 2-minutes-and-44-seconds-long trailer, Jennifer Walters, the She-Hulk, played by Tatiana Maslany, goes through hulky training under her green-but-not-so-mean cousin Bruce Banner, eminently known as the Hulk, played by Mark Ruffalo. The promotional video also flaunted a bunch of cameos from other Marvel Cinematic Universe newcomers.
Directed by Kat Coiro and Anu Valia, the much-awaited comedy-action series will be composed of nine episodes that will be released weekly on Disney+ starting August 17.

Pizza Hut enlists PPop royals SB19 in new endorsement
The PPop supergroup SB19 ventured to endorse the food brand Pizza Hut in a recent launch and contract signing before members of the press. The members of the group, as is expected, said pizza is their comfort food more after long training and practices, so the decision to endorse the brand came off as easy.
In launching the Make It Great campaign, the joint project of SB19 and Pizza hut, the two brands highlight the importance of enjoying life and sharing good memories with family and friends.
The boy band is set to introduce new flavors – spicy pepperoni, BBQchicken, and carbonara –, an original song, and a commercial which was launched last July 31.
IU announces her 2022 Concert “The Golden Hour: Under the Orange Sun”
Lee Ji-eun, or commonly known as IU, who appeared in various Korean dramas like Scarlet Heart Ryeo, My Mister, and recently in Hotel Del Luna that became a hit worldwide as she also released numerous successful albums such as “Lilac”, “Love Poem”, and “Palette”.
Truth to be told, she is one of the most successful solo artists in South Korea that led her to be the first female set to hold a concert in Seoul’s Jamsil Olympic Stadium this coming September 17-18, 2022, entitled “The Golden Hour: Under the Orange Sun”.
Billkin announces his first fan meeting in Thailand “Golden Hour”
The lead actor in hit coming–of-age Thai series I Told Sunset about You and I Promised You the Moon, singer and actor Putthipong Assaratanakul or Billkin, is set to have his first fan meeting in Thailand entitled “Golden Hour”.
Presented by LAY’S, the fan meeting will be held on October 8, 2022, at the Muangthai Ratchadalai Theater, and also available in online streaming for international fans.

The Grammy-nominated American singer-producer, Alexander 23, has announced a September 3 show at SM Aura Samsung Hall. Alexander surprised his Filipino fans just after the release of his latest album “Aftershock” alongside the announcement of his North American and European UK tour.

Acer Philippines announced the “Green Mark Concert” in celebration of Acer Day 2022, happening on August 7, 2022, in the Mall of Asia Arena. Featuring SB19, Sarah Geronimo, Parokya ni Edgar, Janina Vela, Yow, Awi, CLR, Adie, and Sud. Acer ambassadors from different countries will also be present at the celebration.
The concert is part of Acer’s initiative for a cleaner and greener environment as they also launched eco-friendly designed products. The anniversary celebration also encourages people to collect recyclable materials in exchange for tickets.

Liza Soberano is all of us as she fulfills her Hallyu dream in Korean show appearance
Following her unexpected presence in some of K-pop performers on Tiktok, Liza Soberano stunned everyone even more when she made her first appearance in a Korean TV show called Not Hocance but Scance hosted by K-drama actress Ye Ji Won and SISTAR member Soyou on Monday, July 25.
Soberano did not hesitate to express her enthusiasm for understanding the culture, describing how she enjoys watching random South Korean variety shows to learn more about it. She also revealed that she had been immersing herself in Korean entertainment since she was 11 years old, which astounded everyone on the show.
