GLOBAL RELEASE—After the much-anticipated and critically acclaimed debut album “With A Hammer” earlier this year, Yaeji makes a compelling return with a fresh single and accompanying music video, titled “easy breezy,” now available through XL Recordings.

As this week marks the kickoff of the European leg of her ‘With A Hammer’ tour, Yaeji is set to headline the prestigious Pitchfork London festival this Saturday at the Roundhouse.

In the midst of a whirlwind year filled with landmark moments, Yaeji seized the opportunity to revisit the studio in August, bridging the gap between her North American and European tour legs. The result is this exciting new release.

Having crafted a deeply cathartic and personal record, Yaeji rediscovered her passion for her craft. Consequently, the creation of the new single flowed effortlessly. “easy breezy” finds Yaeji drawing inspiration from the Japanese and Korean music that shaped her upbringing—genres heavily influenced by UKG, House, and Brazilian music.

Skillfully blending a Bossa nova-style guitar sample with her distinctive beats and vocals, Yaeji showcases her musical prowess with finesse.

The video for “easy breezy” is a joyous ride as Yaeji speeds around NYC on her scooter with her dog Jiji, playfully dodging obstacles in a Mario Kart-style race. Yaeji, once again in the director’s seat, brings her signature carefree creativity, following the vibe of her recent videos for “For Granted” and “Done (Let’s Get It).”
