MANILA, Philippines—Award-winning easy-listening duo Leanne and Naara are lending their musical talents to “Replacing Chef Chico,” the newest and first-ever Filipino-produced series on Netflix set to premiere on November 24, 2023.
The series’ soundtrack, featuring five original songs by Leanne and Naara, including their latest track “Di Na Babalik,” plays a pivotal role in narrating the story of a vibrant love triangle unfolding within the backdrop of a high-end fine dining restaurant.

“Replacing Chef Chico” is a collaborative creation of director Dan Villegas, assistant director Joi Bayan, and showrunner Antoinette Jadaone. The show boasts an impressive cast, including renowned names in the local entertainment scene like Piolo Pascual (My Amanda), Alessandra de Rossi (My Amanda and What If), and Sam Milby (A Family Affair).
The series provides a sneak peek into the high-stakes and competitive culinary world. The trailer introduces viewers to the central characters whose lives intertwine at Hain, a fictional emerging fine dining restaurant known for customizing each dish to reflect diners’ unique life stories. The unexpected twist occurs when Chef Chico (Milby), the titular character, meets with an accident, leaving him in a coma. The fate of Hain falls into the hands of his sous chef Chef Ella (de Rossi) and the newly hired consultant Raymond (Pascual), who has more than the restaurant on his mind.
