GLOBAL NEWS—Making her soul back to the spotlight, the Norwegian pop diva Dagny returns with her brand-new song, “Highs & Lows.“ The track arrives in the wake of a busy summer of festival appearances and a run of sold-out headline shows in London, Berlin and Amsterdam.
Strangers / Lovers, her critically lauded debut album which was released in 2020, and her previous single “Brightsider,“ which The Guardian praised as “epic…charged with Boys Of Summer wistfulness,” came before the release of “Highs & Lows.”

Her last single “Highs & Lows,” which she released before starting work on her much awaited second full-length album, is a touching, very personal pop ballad about standing by someone during difficult times.
Dagny said the following of the new single: “I’m very happy to announce ‘Highs & Lows’ – one of the last songs before diving into the process of making a new album. Highs & Lows is one of the most raw songs I’ve ever written. You could say it’s about unconditional love – about steadily standing by someone’s side through all the highs and the lows, all the easy and the challenging. I hope this song is gonna feel like a warm hug for someone who needs it.” This will be Dagny’s last release before work on the album process begins in earnest.
Tromsø, Norway born Dagny Norvoll Sandvik is an irrepressible pop force. To date, Dagny’s music has been streamed over a billion times, she’s been nominated for 6 Norwegian Grammy’s (Spellemannprisen), co-written songs for Katy Perry, Ashnikko, and Julie Bergan, and collaborated with acts including Liverpool indie-rock heroes The Wombats, American super-producer Steve Aoki, fellow Norwegian powerhouses Astrid S and EDM duo Seeb, and Spanish-English indie-pop outfit Crystal Fighters.
Dagny’s debut album Strangers / Lovers, released in May 2020 proved she’s in the songwriting form of her life, with high praise from The Guardian (“thundering synthpop explosion”), The Independent (“dazzling pop – 8/10”), BBC Music (“one of 2020’s most assured debuts”), The Metro (“sleak, neat set of bops – Albums Of The Week”) and more.
