MANILA, Philippines In 2000, KENZO gave the poppy—a scentless flower—a fragrance that has since become iconic. Its powdery floral signature, whose elegance sublimates the simplicity of this spirited flower makes for a perfume that has marked the olfactory imagination of several generations.

While nature did not give it a scent, it endowed the poppy’s petals with a bold and powerful color: red. A deep, intense red that echoes the roots of the House of KENZO, Japan.  In 2026, KENZO imagines its fragrance: Le Rouge Flower. A revisited version, taken to its peak, expression of its cult perfume crafted from white musks and vanilla. Pushed to the extreme, this new scent gives birth to the first “clean gourmand” fragrance.

For this creation, the House of KENZO called upon the historic master perfumer of the Flower line, Alberto Morillas, as well as perfumer Marie Salamagne. This new fragrance is conceived through the prism of a new olfactory palette reflecting the intensity of the color red.

At the heart of the composition, Amberever®, a high-tech molecule with incomparable woody strength, exudes an intense sensuality that is unmatched. From the very first notes, a profusion of clean sensations surprises the senses thanks to enveloping musks combined with the roundness of rice steam. This modern sensory accord then gives way to an enhanced, almost oversized rose, offering a new floral intensity. Finally, vanilla, mingled with the woody notes of Amberever®, transforms to reveal warm and comforting gourmand facets.

For the first time in Flower’s history, KENZO’s signature poppy disappears from the bottle. Dressed in a deep red lacquer and branded with a gold lettering that makes a bold and resolutely contemporary statement. Its matte-finish box is adorned with a varnished flower that adds texture and contrast, emphasizing a minimalist yet highly graphic aesthetic. The interplay between red and gold creates a captivating new visual identity.

KENZO Parfums has long been committed to creating a more beautiful world. With this, the House continues to support its ambassador Masami Charlotte Lavault, a French-Japanese floriculturist who works in her flower farms in Paris and the surrounding region to cultivate local, seasonal flowers in harmony with nature.

The new Eau de Parfum Le Rouge Flower is composed of 92% natural-origin ingredients. Its glass bottle contains a minimum of 15% recycled material and its packaging is made from cardboard sourced from FSC® certified forests.

With this highly colorful new campaign, KENZO reveals a new femininity that is more assertive and sensual. Steeped in the immersive world of the color red as well as Japan, symbolized by a rising sun echoing the country’s flag, Masami Charlotte Lavault, the face of the fragrance, stands out with a bold attitude and confident gaze.

The Kenzo Le Rouge Flower Eau de Parfum is available in 30ml (Php 5,150), 50ml (Php 6,950), and 100ml (Php 9,650) formats.
