MANILA, Philippines—It’s coming! The record-breaking animated film adventure, Inside Out 2, is finally coming exclusively to Disney+ today, September 25. The streaming platform welcomes the highly-anticipated film, following its well-loved initial offering, seeing new Emotions impacting the life of protagonist Riley in a coming off age story unlike any other.

Disney and Pixar’s animated film made waves in its theatrical release, with its June 12 opening day bagging the record of third biggest opening day in the Philippines. Inside Out 2 also currently holds the record for the country’s fourth highest grossing film and the second highest grossing animation.

To celebrate this equally awaited streaming drop, Disney+ subscribers will now be able to feel all the feels once again as this marks as the first time a film on the platform will also be made available in Filipino dubs.

Disney+ adds a special flair to the Filipino-dubbed version by bringing a special cameo of local actor Joshua Garcia as Lance Slashblade, a dramatic anime hero whom Riley had a secret crush on.

Garcia’s role as voice actor in the film marks his first foray into animation dubbing, an experience he said was difficult but rewarding. (I’m really a fan of animation and Inside Out, that’s why I was really excited about this opportunity. At first, I thought it would be easy, but the experience was no joke so I’m looking forward to seeing the final output.)

Prior to release in the platform, Garcia a self-proclaimed fan of animation particularly of anime, in a media gathering hosted by Disney, shares the importance of this milestone to his progression as an actor. Personally, ibang experience talaga sya. Iba sya dun sa ikaw yung mag-a-acting [in front of the camera] dun sa voice acting lang. Like may mga times na naiiyak din talaga sila while doing it.

With this first jab at voice acting, when asked which among the emotions he would gamely take on when given an acting do-over for the film, he answers, “Feeling ko yung boses ko, since malalim sya, baka si Anger,” Laughing with the audience, he continues, “Ang hirap nun ‘ha.

Stream Inside Out 2 – also available in Filipino dubs – starting September 25 on Disney+.
