In March 2024, KPop favorites, NCT Dream, released their 5th Mini Album, “DREAM( )SCAPE”, with “Smoothie” as its title track. In no time, NCT Dream just dropped their fourth full Album—”DREAMSCAPE”, the continuation of their mini album.
This latest album brings together a total of 11 tracks of various genres including “When I’m with You” and the english single “Rains in Heaven” released last August.
As it has been made known, “DREAM( )SCAPE” represents the worries and pain, escaping from a dark reality, while “DREAMSCAPE” represents the excitement and freedom of youth in a utopia. These concepts resonated with their fans the most, here’s why:
Dive into the unknown
There are moments in our life where we feel overwhelmed, confused, and have no idea if we’re taking the right path. ‘You’re still young, you can still figure it out’ are the words we tend to hear whenever we make mistakes—maybe, but not everyone has the same privilege as the others. There are individuals trapped in limitations and couldn’t just break it, but is ‘just surviving’ similar to living life?
Is it worth the risk if we would take it? Or are we about to waste days of our lives expecting nothing in return? We never know.

Despite the odds, NCT Dream is here to remind us to take everything slowly in this unfamiliar world and find ourselves into the unknown. We should never be scared of trying, and even if we are—let’s dive in the waves we’ve created.
Hold on, never let go
“We are all the same but hurt different”, as they have written in “Rains in Heaven” is a reminder that each of us has their own personal battles to win—there’s no competition on whose emotional baggage weighs the most, we are all valid.
It’s alright to feel that way, embrace the pain, and scream your heart out. We’re still in the process of finding ourselves and knowing our capabilities. When we stop looking back from the things that once chained us, and never let the memories of the past chase us down, we will be free from the turmoil—the feeling of running away, crying, and disappearing. At the end of the day, the answers to our questions are on us.
The concept of their albums radiate the “rainbow after the rain” quote.
NCT Dream’s 4th full album, “DREAMSCAPE”, is a must wait as it also brings back the group’s youthful vibe that the world has come to love and resonate with.
