MANILA, Philippines — In case you missed it, TikTok, the global short-form video platform, gave the Filipino ARMY Nation and fans worldwide an exclusive first listen to “Sweet Dreams” (feat. Miguel), the latest digital single from BTS’s j-hope, premiering a portion of the track seven days before its actual global release.
The new song premiered on TikTok at 10:00 p.m. (PH time) on the first night of j-hope’s world tour ‘HOPE ON THE STAGE in SEOUL’, held at KSPO Dome in Songpa-gu, Seoul on February 28, before the full song dropped on all streaming platforms on March 7 at 1:00 p.m. (PH time).
The Pop R&B track captures j-hope’s sincere desire to love and be loved. Here, he partnered with global R&B star Miguel, who has won hits and accolades on the genre.

The Pre-Saves feature on j-hope’s official TikTok account was activated at the same time as the premiere, and videos for the new songs were also posted on j-hope and BTS’ official accounts. This feature allows fans to add upcoming albums and songs to their Apple Music and Spotify playlists in advance. Fans receive notifications when they are released on the music platforms so they can listen to the music immediately. Fans who search for ‘j-hope’ or ‘sweet dreams’ on TikTok were given access to a special pre-release page via the top banner, where they can watch exclusive content. The official TikTok Korea account also featured a video of j-hope announcing the release.
j-hope launched his official TikTok account (@iamurhope) on January 24 of this year, which amassed over 100 million views within only two weeks. As of February, he had 9.5 million followers, demonstrating his strong global star power and influence. BTS also partnered with TikTok on the “2023 BTS FESTA” campaign to celebrate the 10th anniversary of their debut in 2023, and is the third-largest music artist account on TikTok.
