G-SHOCK officially marks this bold new chapter in a press event at the Atmos Flagship Store in BGC, for an exclusive first look at the future of the brand. Designed with a sleek, progressive form and the unmistakable G-SHOCK toughness, the GA-V01 takes its strides in giving a new look to everyday wear for the next generation.

At the heart of the GA-V01 concept is the story of the father of G-SHOCK, Kikuo Ibe, who set out to create an unbreakable watch, tirelessly testing the prototype by dropping it from the lab window at the Hamura R&D laboratory. This very ethos led to the birth of the first-ever G-SHOCK in 1983, along with the enduring legacy of his “Never Give Up” spirit. That same determination continues its thrust in the brand’s pervading design principles, including GA-V01’s designer, Tomohiro Hamaue, who brings it to life with his interpretation of G-SHOCK’s core identities on toughness and its status as the one and only unbreakable watch.
The GA-V01 marks a new chapter for G-SHOCK with an entirely fresh approach to construction and design, harnessing a beautiful fusion of design and functionality. This is seen in an organic exterior form with an integrated bezel and band that incorporates bumper-type indexes and side buttons that express powerful strength through sharply defined edges. Its oversized design extends over the spherical glass, which houses an analog-digital combination display that integrates a layered metallic dial with openwork and a full-screen LCD.

The new GA-V01 model is more than just a watch as it embodies the brand’s spirit of continuous evolution and the relentless pursuit of breakthroughs. The character of the watch epitomizes this spirit in three key phases of G-SHOCK history – the prototype that Ibe first threw out of the window, the rubber ball that infused the toughness spirit, and now the final evolved form with a resilient, battle-ready character with spiked feet, ready for adventure.
Following its recent release, the latest watch model is available in G-Shock stores in the Philippines starting at Php 9,800.00 and comes in four bold colour options, including classic G-SHOCK black, vibrant neon blue, neon yellow, and silver metallic. The watch launched exclusively in Atmos in June followed by its Casio Philippines website drop and now in select G-SHOCK stores nationwide.
