MANILA, Philippines — In a historic move, homegrown label .ARCHIVES is bringing its very first .ARCHIVES SOUND SYSTEM/.A.S.S. NIGHT on August 7 at Apotheka, Makati City.
.ARCHIVES SOUND SYSTEM is an extension of the .ARCHIVES universe where fashion and music converge as one cultural force. The Manila-based culture purveyor curated an original “mixtape” of hip hop and alternative performances titled .A.S.S. Mixtape 01 to be performed live—creating a space where sound, style, and community intertwine. More than an event, it’s a movement and a living archive of expression, rebellion, and collective identity.
Following its first two outings in Tokyo, this comes from the brand’s tradition of releasing a .ARCHIVES SOUND SYSTEM/.A.S.S. of the month playlists found on Spotify.
The event is set to house an array of dynamic Filipino artists, the masterminds behind the night’s madness, namely Yung Masa, MURDOCK, Kyleaux, BRGR, Nix [25 hearts], Nads, Japerc, r0xxy, and Duane Insane, marking this to be a celebration of youth and individuality, a hallmark of the .ARCHIVES brand.
With this, an .A.S.S. Night-exclusive merchandise such as the .A.S.S. // .ARCHIVES USB Pendant w/ .A.S.S. mixtape, tank top, and sticker sheets that will be up for sale all-throughout the event, then offers guests a chance to commemorate the night. A whole menu of .A.S.S. Night-special cocktails will also be available for guests.
This event sees its first of soon-to-be many .A.S.S. Nights, designed to solidify the brand’s unrelenting thrust in integrating sound, art, and fashion.
