MANILA, PhilippinesMaison Margiela and Gentle Monster unveil their latest eyewear collaboration, displaying innovative temple-less designs, artisanal leather frames, and the iconic four white stitches, comprised of 17 designs, reflecting a creative dialogue fueled by the experimental values shared by the two brands.

The campaign, photographed by Jordan Hemingway, sets the eyewear in a hyper-realistic, dream-like context inspired by Maison Margiela’s Co-Ed Spring-Summer 2024 Collection narrative of a transatlantic voyage.

Through this, Gentle Monster and Maison Margiela study the evolving notions of how we dress and why: the memories, familiarities, instincts, and gestures that inform the way we present ourselves. These acetate frames come in signature colorways, including black, white, grey, cream, transparent, and tortoiseshell, as well as leather-framed editions in black, ivory, khaki, and blue nuances.

Exploring futurism through craftsmanship, the collection presents ten sunglasses and seven spectacle designs, blending organic forms with metallic accents. Creative Director John Galliano’s visionary approach is evident in the voluminous, mask-like shapes of the MM101 and MM102 frames, exclusively presented in silver Glam Slam cases, molded to wrap around the contours of the eyes and nose. Further, the temple-less MM101 and MM102 are exclusively presented in silver Glam Slam eyewear cases whereas other frames are presented in white Glam Slam eyewear cases
