MANILA, Philippines—With onsite and in-person events and festivals taking a break due to the pandemic, the seismic shift to this new digital set-up remains a challenge and an opportunity for growth and exploration to both organizers and festival-goers.
Despite this big, unprecedented change, there seems to be no shortage of quality online events and screenings as shown by the PUP College of Communication with their successful screening of the 2021 Music Video Festival hosted by the PUP BroadCircle.

The successful online screening of entries to the 2021 PUP Music Video Festival last March 19 was joined by 13 Production Houses, to showcase their talent to the annual and most anticipated event of the year, with the theme “AmBago: Ambag Mo, Para sa Pagbabago.”
The premiere, hosted on the organization’s official Facebook Page, collected over 6,000 views. Sophomores and members to the PUP BroadCircle Ronjay Mendiola and Czarina Piscasio hosted the event.
Rubenich Reyes, one of the Project Heads, opened the visual festivities and was followed by the Inspirational Message of Josh Phillip Crisostomo, the President of PUP BroadCircle.

Two professors of the participating production houses also gave their message to their students for existing their efforts in conceptualizing and executing original-composed content and educating the youth, particularly first-time voters, about the importance of voting through creative materials. The event ended with the Closing Remarks of the Adviser of PUP BroadCricle, Mr. George Vincent Gamayo.
This year served as the second time the Screening took the virtual stage since the onset of the pandemic, mounted with the help of the organizations from different universities and groups along with a string of sponsors and media organizations that also partnered with the PUP BroadCircle.

Of note, The Clappers or the Awards Night is set to be held on Saturday, March 26, 2022, and will be streamed live at the PUP BroadCircle’s Facebook page, where the 13 premiered music video entries can also be revisited.
