MANILA, Philippines—After performing artists Markki Stroemm and Arman Ferrer sweep the stages of CCP for the first two acts of the 2022 TRIPLE THREATS: THREE TENORS concert series, singer-actor Poppert Bernadas will conclude the third and final show offering on December 21, 2022 at the Cultural Center of the Philippines’ Tanghalang Ignacio Gimenez (CCP Black Box Theater) at 7:30pm with his solo concert  “Ang Musika, ang Teatro at Ako.”

The artist personally selected the songs for the exclusive performance from his extensive collection of his favorite songs from Broadway, the West End, original Filipino musicals, and movies.

With an unrelenting love for his work as a singer and actor, Bernadas is a full and world-class performer. National Artist Ryan Cayabyab personally chose him to join the prestigious singing group the “Ryan Cayabyab Singers,” or RCS, which has been active since 2007 as a founding member of the multi-awarded vocal group. The RCS continues to tour successfully and perform in local music scenes.

In 2014, Bernadas was cast as “Kenny” in “Rak of Aegis”, an iconic and longest-running, all-original Filipino musical of PETA. He continued to participate in a variety of works, including “Magsimula Ka!”, “LORENZO the Musical”, ”Ang Huling Lagda ni Apolinario Mabini”, “GodSpell”, “Spoliarium”, “Marawi The Musicale”, and Season 7 of “Rak of Aegis” where he reprised his original role.

He began his acting career as “Kanor” in the first season of the ABS-CBN Primetime Teleserye “Ang Sa Iyo Ay Akin” and as “Rio” in the second season of the same teleserye. Last year, he joined the “ATeam” management team, which is co-led by Star Magic’s Lauren Dyogi and OPM’s Ogie Alcasid. In “Maalaala Mo” last year, two of his original songs, “Payakap Inay” and “Mama ko,” were played. His initial recording project with Maestro Ryan Cayabyab was a song dedicated to his late mother.

Triple Threats is a solo concert series featuring stalwarts of Philippine Musical Theater. The narrative of the performance is dictated by the song choices in this series of “concept concerts.” The series offers the audience a rare opportunity to see a different side of the acclaimed theater artist being featured. A “triple threat” is someone in a specific field who possesses the three skills required to excel – the ability to act, sing, and dance.
