MANILA, Philippines—Fans of Filipino comics and plays are in for a visual treat with the upcoming release of “Mula sa Kulimliman” to be streamed by PUP Sining-lahi Polyrepertory this coming March 28, 30, and April 1.
“Mula sa Kulimliman” follows a story about a housewife left to care for her son after questioning the truths about her mostly-absent husband. As the narrative furthers, it navigates the complexities of domestic life told by blurring the lines of the ordinary and the supernatural.

With the mission to rechannel the playful and exploratory spirit of childhood, PUP Sining-Lahi Polyrepertory opens its 41st Theater Season.
“Mula sa Kulimliman” is written by acclaimed graphic novelist Carlo Vergara and directed by JR Ambol, that trails the story of a long-hidden truth revealed to rattle a simple family forever.
Themed with komiks, the play intertwines the “real world” and the supernatural world of Kulimliman and how a mother comes into terms with the news brought by her husband.
