MANILA, Philippines—As part of the Film Development Council of the Philippines’ (FDCP) Sine Sinta: Pag-Ibig at Pelikula event, ABS-CBN Film Restoration celebrates Valentine’s season by screening digitally restored romantic classics in select theaters and open-air venues across the country.
Following the successful screenings of classic romantic hits at Rizal Park and TriNoma Cinema 3 last February 3 to 5, Sine Sinta follows it up by bringing more of Sagip Pelikula’s restored films for today’s audiences to the big screen at FDCP’s Cinematheque Centres nationwide, including in Manila, Iloilo, Negros, Compostela Valley (Nabunturan), and Davao starting February 8 until 10.
The Cinematheque showings will kick off with Sarah Geronimo and John Lloyd Cruz’s rom-com flick A Very Special Love. Also slated to screen is the 1991 romance-drama film Hihintayin Kita sa Langit starring Richard Gomez and Dawn Zulueta on February 9, 2:30 PM, followed by the 2002 box-office hit Got 2 Believe, top-billed by the iconic tandem of Claudine Barretto and Rico Yan at 6:30 PM.
And capping it off at the Cinematheque Centres is the ’90s loveteam of Jolina Magdangal and Marvin Agustin in their beloved romance hit Labs Kita… Okey Ka Lang? on February 10 at 3:30 PM.
