MANILA, Philippines—In celebration of its third anniversary, Home Buddies, a cherished community of Filipino home enthusiasts, is gearing up for a remarkable bazaar event that showcases both established and up-and-coming local brands in the realm of home improvement, décor, and design.
Aptly named the Home Buddies Bazaar, this event promises a thoughtfully curated selection of furniture essentials, household discoveries, and decorative treasures that resonate with the online community’s ethos of budget-friendly shopping coupled with style.

Founder Frances Lim Cabatuando, fondly known as ‘Mayora’ by Home Buddies’ devoted social media following, excitedly states, “It’s our first independent event, so the sky’s the limit. We’re bringing in exceptional home brands, starting with our co-presenters Tough Mama, PLDT Home, and Ayala Malls Manila Bay. We’re also collaborating with prominent home professional organizations like the United Architects of the Philippines (UAP) and the Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers (PICE) to offer free home consultations for our kapitbahays!”
Home Buddies Bazaar brings to life Pinterest-inspired concepts through specialized booths and shops, housing over 30 home and living merchants sure to awaken everyone’s inner budol (shopaholic). Furthermore, this event serves as the inaugural “grand eyeball” of the burgeoning online community, which boasts more than 3.2 million followers on Facebook to date.
Mayora explains, “Our aim is to celebrate the community and enable its members to meet face-to-face, as it’s now safer to do so. I’m confident that we’ve all influenced each other’s lives in one way or another. We want to emphasize that the online group is not just a Facebook group; it’s a genuine, thriving community that aids Filipinos in enhancing their homes.”

This one-day extravaganza is set to take place at the Ayala Malls Manila Bay’s activity center in Pasay City on October 1, 2023. Beyond its extensive lineup of home improvement vendors and booths, the inaugural Home Buddies Bazaar will feature on-stage segments, games, activities, and performances, headlined by alt-rock icons Barbie Almalbis and Sandwich, alongside emerging talents like I See Bees, New York Heights, Raven and the Papis, and Sofia Carpizo.
Home Buddies Bazaar is proudly co-presented by PLDT Home, Tough Mama, and Ayala Malls, with support from partners GNN Entertainment Productions, the 210.ph, MStudio, NYMA, UAP, and PICE.
