Warner Music Philippines shared that it is stepping back into the direction of honing homegrown talent this year, taking in four new signed artists under its wing. Celebrated and upcoming talents, Quest, St. Wolf, Keiko Necesario, and Leanne & Naara at the tailend of 2019.

Ian Monsod, Managing Director of Warner Music Philippines noted, “It has always been the company’s thrust to be on the lookout for great talent in music among local artists and abroad. This year felt like the perfect time for us to bring our focus on building a roster of artists that deserve to be heard here and in international shores.”

He adds, “We have always kept our relationship with Filipino talent in tact throughout the years, but we want to bring our efforts in joining these artists in their journey to achieving their fullest potential.”

In recognizing each their individuality and mark, Warner Music has also empowered talents in their roster with an ongoing learning to elevate their musicality and artistry from local training to overseas immersions and education.

Quest

Introduced in their lineup is premiere Filipino singer, rapper, songwriter, and producer Quest. Best known for his 2012 hit song “Sige Lang,” which topped numerous charts, garnered various awards, and even became the theme song for the basketball team Gilas Pilipinas. In 2016, Quest was awarded with the Best Inspirational Song for his single “Higher,” and Album of the Year for “Life of a Champion” at the Awit Awards. Early this year, he released a new single called “Permanente” with Kiana Valenciano, and since then, he has been focusing his career on his new album “Dream Awake.”

St. Wolf

St. Wolf is an up and coming band who started in 2015. Consisting of members KL Dela Cruz (vocals), Vince Lucero (guitars), Karlo Maglasang (bass) and Bob Sadural (drums), St. Wolf has released remarkable songs such as “Papara,” “Taguan” and “Jealousy.” The band is part of the latest Coke Studio Philippines series.

Keiko Necesario

Keiko Necesario is a singer-songwriter who has been independently creating her own albums and songs. In 2015, she released and produced her very first album, a ten-track compilation called “Through It All.” Her cover of the song “Both Sides Now” by Joni Mitchell was featured on the British TV series “Ackley Bridge” early this year. Keiko’s songs such as “While We Are Young,” “Panaginip” and “Paano Na” among others comprised the original motion soundtrack of Ang Babaeng Allergic sa Wifi released in 2017. 

Leanne & Naara

Leanne & Naara, a rising singer-songwriter duo has been playing since college and was formed in 2012. After releasing their single “Again” in 2016, the song topped the charts on Spotify ranking number one in the Philippines and number twelve in the Global Viral Charts. Since then, they have released new singles including “New York and Back,” “Make Me Sing,” “Rest,” “Destination,” and even their own version of fellow Warner Music Philippine artist Nina’s “Someday.”
