MANILA, Philippines—In a recent launch, style- and culture-shaping brand adidas Originals brought to the fore the newest iteration of the trailblazing NMD silhouette.
Through the NMD_V3, the iconic sneaker— which first launched in 2015— returns with an updated take on the original cutting edge innovator. Made for those who respect what’s come before, while also staying up to date with what’s coming next, the latest silhouette in the NMD family stands proud as a future icon created for the rebellious explorers forging the cities of tomorrow.
To launch the NMD_V3, adidas Philippines partnered with rising rebellious explorers of the music industry to create an original song and music video “Create New Paths” performed by Kritiko and Denise Julia, produced by Moophs.

Paired up in the song to heat up the city are rising singer Julia Denise Lee, otherwise known as Denise Julia, who first gained popularity through her viral hit song “NVMD” and John Michael “Kritiko” Edixon, a rapper and songwriting competition graduate.
The original song which tells the story of OGs who rebelliously bring the heat and are unafraid to create their own paths contains lyrics penned by the two artists and was produced by Chris “Moophs” Lopez, label head of the renowned Philippine-based Tarsier Records and a trailblazer in his own right. The music video was premiered in an exclusive launch event at Kondwi Bar in Makati.
“Partnering with these local artists to produce an original song specially for this launch is a first for the brand, and we couldn’t have chosen better creators to represent NMD. Just like the song inspires to ‘create new paths’, Denise Julia, Kritiko, and Moophs are all rebellious explorers who’ve forged their way to make names for themselves through their creativity and artistry,” said Jen Dacasin, adidas Philippines Brand Activation Manager.

As a silhouette built for a life in motion, the NMD_V3 features a re-engineered mesh that wraps around the foot, a transparent heel clip, and BOOST cushioning that’s partially encapsulated in a TPU shell.
Distinctly forward thinking, the sneaker also comprises an upper made with a high-performance yarn which contains at least 50% Parley Ocean Plastic— reimagined plastic waste intercepted on remote islands, beaches, coastal communities and shorelines— and 50% recycled polyester. The NMD_V3 retails for Php 8,000 and is available in an array of progressive colorways at adidas.com.ph and adidas stores.
